Botox
The most studied name in aesthetic medicine.
Botox Cosmetic is the only approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow's feet lines in adults. It is one of the most extensively studied aesthetic treatments in the world, approved for cosmetic use in 78 countries and evaluated in hundreds of peer reviewed studies.
How Botox works
Botox targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow's feet: the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your specialist injects these muscles to temporarily reduce their activity, and the skin above them visibly smooths.
Botox contains tiny amounts of a highly purified botulinum toxin protein. Formulations, potency, and approved doses vary between botulinum products, which means one product cannot simply substitute for another. There is no such thing as a generic Botox.
Smoothing begins within days and settles fully in about two weeks, lasting three to four months for most clients.
Questions we hear
Yes. Dosing is an art. The goal is to soften the lines that repetition has carved in, not to freeze your face.
